ITM is a qualified corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. "In-kind" and other donations to ITM are deductible as allowed by law. As always, individual situations vary so check with your tax professional.

This page concerns donations of materials or items for our collection. If you want to give money please see our page on contributions.

If you have something you would like to donate to the Indiana Transportation Museum please contact us. You may feel that you have an artifact that should be in our collection and you may be correct. However, your gift must fall within our collection guidelines or, ethically, we can not accept it.

Please call our office at the number shown to the left. We will give your information to our collections department. You will be contacted to discuss the possible donation.

Many of our volunteers give "in-kind" donations as they help at ITM. Such items might include food and beverages to feed volunteers during work sessions, flowers or shrubs to improve the appearance of the property or tools and supplies needed for a restoration project. These donations arise because the donor is present, sees a need and fills that need.

We greatly appreciate all appropriate donations.

Please Note: Schedules are adhered to as closely as possible, but the railroad reserves the right to alter schedules, substitute coaches and/or motive power as operating conditions demand.  No refund or exchanges on reserved tickets unless ticketed train does not operate.
