DINNER IN THE DINER

SCHEDULE:
The train departs at
5:00PM from the
Indiana Transportation
Museum in Forest Park.

MENU:
Entrees for each train:

May 21 - parmesan crusted chicken breast
June 25 - petite filet of beef with tangerine demi-glaze
July 9 - roast tenderloin of beef with peppercorn merlot sauce
September 17 - sautéed pork tenderloin with pears and mustard sauce
October 1 - chicken piccata with artichokes, capers and lemon chardonnay sauce
October 15 - parmesan crusted chicken breast.

This train trip is ideal for (and has been used for) all of these occasions and would be great for any other special evenings you can think of. Dine in luxury aboard the restored Louisville & Nashville #2728, the "Cross Keys Tavern," our 1930 dining car. A complete four-course meal is served. Each event is limited to 36 diners at six tables for four and six tables for two.

On 3 of this year's 6 trips passengers will dine as they travel to Tipton, Indiana and back, leaving from Forest Park in Noblesville with other cars in your train transporting Pizza PLUS Express riders on their adventure. On the other 3 trips you will begin dining as you ride to Fishers where passengers for the Hamiltonian will board. Then, on those evenings, the train will travel back North to drop off Hamiltonian riders. You will finish dinner traveling the railroad north of Noblesville. All "Dinner in the Diner" trains depart from the train museum in Noblesville's Forest Park at 5:00PM and regardless of the midway destination you will return to Forest Park around 8:30PM.

Attire for this event ranges from business casual to semi-formal, depending on the reason for celebrating with "Dinner in the Diner." Children are welcome on this excursion with purchase of a ticket, but passengers are asked to be considerate of fellow diners.

Side dishes will be seasonal selections. Entrees for each date are listed in the left column.

The fare for dinner and the train ride is:
$70.00 per person.

This event is a perennial favorite. Due to the limited seating and limited number of trips, it often sells out months in advance. Dinner in the Diner is also available as a charter.

     Please Note: Schedules are adhered to as closely as possible, but the railroad reserves the right to alter schedules, substitute coaches and/or motive power as operating conditions demand.  No refund or exchanges on reserved tickets unless ticketed train does not operate.
