sponsored by

Forget the traffic hassles and ride
in air conditioned comfort on our historic Budd
passenger coaches direct to the main gate of the Indiana
State Fair grounds!
The Indiana Transportation Museum will be
operating the WFMS FairTrain, providing
round-trip transportation to the
2008 Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, IN from Fishers, IN. Reservations are not needed, and the train will operate rain or shine.
Travel time one-way is approximately 30 minutes.
The WFMS FairTrain departs from Fishers Station located on 116th Street, about a half-mile west of the Interstate 69 Exit. While free parking is available, it is suggested that travelers should arrive about 30 minutes before their intended departure to ensure a parking spot and purchase tickets.
The train delivers passengers to 39th Street and Millersville Road.
A short walk takes passengers across the historic 39th
Street bridge over Fall Creek to a traffic-controlled
crossing of Fall Creek Parkway. Passengers are
then at Gate 6 of the Fairgrounds. Once inside the gate, all the fun that is the Indiana State Fair awaits!
Tickets for the Indiana State Fair
will be on sale at the Fairgrounds main gate area. They are not included in the round-trip train fare.
While many riders take advantage of this great means to get to the Fair, we encourage those that just want a train ride to come along. One can even ride from the Fairgrounds to Fishers Station and back as we will have train ticket sellers on board. Travelers can pick from the many departure and return times in planning how long they would like to enjoy the Fair.
Upgrade!! Ride to the Fair in style by upgrading to the NKP No. 1 Business car. Ask for details at the ticket booth. Limited availability!
The ITM on-board staff will make every effort to accommodate our passengers, such as stowing strollers and coolers. Parking is limited so please arrive early. Trains will depart on time!!
