Polar Bear Express Hosts
The Polar Bear Express has delighted children of all ages for the past 12 years. Families have been gathering at the Fishers Station to hear the Chris Van Allsburg story "The Polar Express" which recounts a child's magical train ride to the North Pole to visit Santa. A spirited reading by personnel from the Fishers Library, along with visuals, will tell the story of the child's adventure. A real train ride follows the reading.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the selected storytime and enter the Fishers Station (116th Street, 1 mile west of the I-69 interchange). Free parking is available at the station. The reading will take place in the Community Room located at 11601 Municipal Drive, Fishers, IN 46307.

POLAR BEAR EXPRESS TICKETS FOR 2008 GO ON SALE

OCTOBER 4th AT 9am!!!

Daytime Programs: After the story reading, Santa will pay a visit and rides the train. The Elves and the Polar Bear will then greet riders on the Fishers Station platform where the train ride begins. Refreshments (juice and cookies) will be served, and passengers get a bell, as the train travels to the south edge of Noblesville and back. The story and train ride will take approximately 1.5 hours.

Evening Programs: The evening story times have refreshments (hot chocolate and cookies), a goody bag with a bell and candy, and the train travels all the way to the North Pole to pick up Santa (Hobbs Station at Forest Park) for his train ride and return trip to Fishers Station. The story and train ride takes approximately two hours.

The Indiana Transportation Museum is proud to present this event jointly with the Hamilton East Public Library as a part of their Children's Programming events.
