The Tipton Pork Festival is held on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday after Labor Day.  The Indiana Transportation Museum carries passengers to the festival on the Porkfest Train. In 2010 we decided to provide caboose rides for people who were already in Tipton for the festival.

The round-trip trains depart from south of State Road 28, east of the Pizza Shack at 311 E Jefferson Street. The trip goes south into farm land of Tipton County to County Road 300 South before returning to town. Each 4 mile trip takes about 20 minutes.

TRAIN DATES:

Friday September 7th
Saturday September 8th

SCHEDULE:
The train departs about every 30 minutes - on Friday from 5:30PM until about 9:00PM and on Saturday from 10:00AM until 5:30PM.

Similar trips using coaches or cabooses are also available for charter for any event.

Please Note: Schedules are adhered to as closely as possible, but the railroad reserves the right to alter schedules, substitute coaches and/or motive power as operating conditions demand.  No refund or exchanges on reserved tickets unless ticketed train does not operate.
