About Us
The Indiana Transportation Museum is a volunteer, non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve Indiana's railroad history, educate the public in the history of the railroad, and provide our visitors with an experience
of railroad travel as it used to be. We operate a 38 miles line once known as the Indianapolis & Peru, and
eventually as the Nickel Plate Road. Read about the
line's History.
Location
Our Museum and restoration facilities are located in Noblesville, Indiana, only 20 miles north of downtown Indianapolis.

fine restaurants around the courthouse square in
Noblesville. Our premier event, the WFMS FairTrain™
presented by KeyBank, transports riders to the Indiana State Fair with 10 round trips each day of the Fair. See our Event Calendar for a complete listing.
