| Volunteer Opportunities
The Indiana
Transportation Museum has only two paid part-time employees.
Everyone else, over 100
individuals in 2008, volunteered his or her time because of a love of railroading and
a desire to educate people about the importance of railroads to Indiana's development.
If you are a current
Museum volunteer , or are interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill out our Online
Registration Form to gain access to our online Volunteer
Information Center.
Once you fill out the application we will contact you to let you know
the next step in becoming a Museum volunteer. Please note that some
Museum volunteer positions require that you become a member of the Indiana Transportation
Museum.

Transportation Museum might have the right service project for your group. For

Once you're registered in the Online Volunteer system, you can go
directly to the Volunteer Information Center to sign up for additional projects and log
your volunteer hours.

Membership in the Museum has several benefits. All
memberships include free admission to the Museum, newsletters, gift shop discounts, and
excursion discounts. The Museum is a non profit educational organization, consequently
memberships and donations may be tax deductible.
