THE INDIANA TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Polar Bear Express

"The Polar Bear Express©" features a children's story about Santa Claus and a train. A spirited reading by volunteers from the Fishers Library, along with visuals and sound effects, tells of the adventure.

A real train ride follows the reading. The train departs Fishers Station and travels north over meadows, through woods and across Stony Creek to the south edge of Noblesville. The train stops only briefly as the engine crew moves from one locomotive to the other for the return trip. The children are treated with juice and crackers and a visit with Santa Claus!

Polar Bear Express is offered only five days in December, starting on the second Friday after Thanksgiving and ending the following Friday. Cost for the tour and train ride is: Children and Adults $12.00 each (one Teacher per 15 Students Free), with a minimum charge of $1200. If your school group is too small to meet the minimum, we will work with you to schedule a date and time when your group can be combined with another. However, the maximum attendance at any one performance is limited by the capacity of the community room at Fishers Station. This event begins and ends ONLY at Fishers Station, which is located on 116th Street,a half-mile west of exit 5 of Interstate 69.
